For those visiting Guernsey from London and surrounding areas, it is extremely well connected with flights to and from both London Gatwick and London City airport. Aurigny operates the most frequent flight service with six flights daily Monday to Saturday between Gatwick and Guernsey with five flights every Sunday.

Flight times are between 55 minutes and 1 hour making it fast and convenient to travel from London Gatwick to Guernsey. In addition to the daily service from London Gatwick offered by Aurigny, British Airways also operates a daily service from London City.

Flights to Guernsey from Birmingham

Aurigny operates a daily service from Birmingham International Airport to Guernsey. There is one flight per day in both directions with flight schedules varying depending on the day with a mixture of early morning and late afternoon/evening flights. The inbound flight time is approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes whilst the return flight to Birmingham is shorter at 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Flights to Guernsey from Bristol

There is a daily flight from Bristol to Guernsey operated by Aurigny. The service runs 7 days a week, typically with morning flights on a weekend and a Wednesday whilst the rest of the week has mid-afternoon flights. The flight from Bristol is quick and easy at just over an hour flight time.

Flights to Guernsey from East Midlands

You can travel from East Midlands to Guernsey four days a week with Aurigny. The airline operates a route on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with a flight time of 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Edinburgh is the only Scottish airport offering direct flights to Guernsey via airline Aurigny which is a seasonal flight running from July to September. At other times, travellers from Edinburgh can take an indirect via Southampton with Loganair and Blue Islands.

Flights to Guernsey from Exeter

Travellers from Exeter can enjoy an extremely quick travel experience to Guernsey with a flight time of just 40 minutes. Aurigny operates a daily service to and from Exeter throughout the summer whilst running five flights a week for the remainder of the year. From September to June, Aurigny offers East Midlands flights on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Flights to Guernsey from Glasgow

Unfortunately, there are currently no Glasgow to Guernsey direct flights. Direct flights are available from Edinburgh to Guernsey year-round via Aurigny. Alternatively, Loganair offers a seasonal connection flight through the summer with a transfer at Southampton.

Flights to Guernsey from Leeds Bradford

Aurigny operates a seasonal flight from Leeds Bradford to Guernsey. The route is active in the peak travel period of July to September allowing holidaymakers from around the West Yorkshire area to conveniently travel to Guernsey. The airline also operates this route three Sunday’s in December allowing for travel to and from the island over the Christmas period.

Flights to Guernsey from Manchester

Daily flights are available from Manchester to Guernsey year-round via Aurigny. Flights are at least once per day from Manchester International Airport with two flights on Fridays and Sundays. Manchester offers convenient access to Guernsey from the north.

Flights to Guernsey from Newcastle

Guernsey holidaymakers can fly from Newcastle via an indirect Loganair/Blue Islands flight with a Southampton connection. Whilst the travel time is longer than direct flights from the UK to Guernsey, it may be the most convenient option to those travelling from the north of England.

Flights to Guernsey from Newquay

A seasonal indirect flight from Newquay to Guernsey is available through the partnership with Blue Islands and Loganair with a connecting flight in Southampton. This service is only available July to September but offers a great connection from Cornwall to the Channel Islands.

Flights to Guernsey from Norwich

Aurigny operates a seasonal route between Norwich and Guernsey with flights available once a week from August to September. Throughout the remainder of the year, it is still possible to travel from Norwich to Guernsey via a Jersey connection. Blue Islands operates a regular route from Norwich to Jersey with an inter-island service that allows holidaymakers from Norwich to visit the island via an indirect service.

Flights to Guernsey from Southampton

Southampton offers one of the most frequent flight schedules between the UK and Guernsey offering direct routes with both Aurigny and Blue Islands. Between the two airlines, six to eight flights depart Southampton for Guernsey every day offering exceptional flexibility for your travel plans. The Common Travel Area

As part of The Common Travel Area, Guernsey, like other Crown Dependencies, follows the same immigration protocols as the UK. As such, citizens of the United Kingdom, Ireland and Crown Dependencies have freedom to travel between these areas without the requirement of a passport for immigration purposes.

However, as travelling to the island is via flight or ferry, identification will be required for travel. Whilst a passport remains the most popular form of identification used, as a domestic flight, other forms of identification are also permitted at the discretion of the airline. Please confirm the accepted methods of identification by your airline or ferry operator prior to travel.

Covid-19 Travel Requirements

As of 7th February 2022, there are no Covid-19 related travel requirements to enter Guernsey or any neighbouring Channel Islands. Border requirements are the same as those pre-pandemic. There is no longer a need to complete a travel tracker, no testing and no isolation requirements.

However, you should not travel if you are feeling unwell and whilst mask usage is no longer mandatory, it can be used at your own personal discretion. You may also want to consider a travel insurance policy that covers you for cancellations in relation to Covid-19.
