Buckinghamshire has numerous historic houses which are open to the public via the National Trust. National Trust properties in Buckinghamshire include Waddesdon Manor (Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild display of art treasures), West Wycombe Park, Long Crendon Courthouse, gardens at Stowe and stately homes of Claydon and Hughenden. Chequers, the Prime Minister’s country retreat is also located in Buckinghamshire but it is not open to the public.
